“It’s just hair. It’ll grow back.” These words are the hollow consolation we often give to friends who have chosen the wrong stylist. Hair is serious business, and it’s best left to professionals.

Luckily, professionals are out there. Hairpolice’s veteran stylist Satya Conger is one of them. In this segment, she talks about how she became a stylist. With roots (pun intended) in fine art and academics, she explains how she used her creative instincts and intelligence to make a name for herself in the world of styling. Clearly basking in the joy she gets from her work, she goes on to share secrets for a successful life to those of us who maybe aren’t so crazy about our jobs.

It’s rare to meet people who truly love and are talented in their career. In case you want to see (or hear) one in the flesh, be sure to give this installment a listen. And if you want your hair to look great along the way, make an appointment.
