DO YOU HAVE A STORY TO SHARE?

FOR MORE INFORMATION ON HOW TO SHARE YOUR STORY WITH US

ARTIST SUBMISSIONS PLEASE READ BELOW.

“You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone’s soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words. That is your role, your gift.”

-Erin Morgenstern

We believe that we need to listen to each other and learn more about the people we share this planet with. First-person storytelling is a free and accessible way to do this.

"Everyone is important." -Fred, episode 16

We want to hear from you! The interview process is relaxed and easy, and portraits are a breeze. We'll connect before your interview to work out any questions or concerns you have about sharing your story.

After your story is published, we'll send you all of the tools you'll need to share it, a hard copy of the magazine you're featured in, and a full-year's subscription to the digital version of our magazine.

HOW TO PITCH YOUR STORY:

Complete the form with all relevant required information. A Face Project will not sell your account information or use it for anything unrelated to A Face Project.

Give us your pitch in 500 words or less. You'll have time to embellish and explain things in more detail later. We are looking for a focused version of your story, the book jacket version. If your story is a good fit for an upcoming episode we will contact you and schedule your interview.

FIRST, if you haven't checked out our currently published photo essays, you can do so here.

To save your time and ours, we suggest you take a look at A Face Project Magazine before submitting. Digital sample issues are $8 each.

We try to respond within one month. But don't let longer wait times discourage you!

Thank you for sharing your interest and talent with A Face Project!

Submission steps for photographers:

1. Tell us a little about yourself, your photo style and why you want to contribute to AFP. Have you been previously published anywhere? If so, where?

2. Submit your photo essay pitch. Keep in mind that A Face Project's mission is to share stories about people. Your photo series should have a real person or people at its center. For example, if it's a story about ice melting in Antarctica, we want to hear about it from a real person working near that environment in addition to the photos of the environment itself.

3. This should include a 500 word description, any relevant website links and supporting sample photographs. If you are submitting a photo collection that has already been completed, it must have not been published elsewhere previously.

4. Please either provide a link to your previous work or attach samples as a .pdf or individual jpegs.

5. Head to our website to check out published photo essays.
Music submissions are used for our podcast.

To save your time and ours, we suggest you take a look at A Face Project Podcast before submitting. Digital sample issues of the magazine are $8 each.
